Account Manager

Our client is growing rapidly, and adding a Strategic Account Manager for the pharmaceuticals sector to their team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships within existing pharmaceutical clients. Responsibilities include representing the full range of existing and new services, account planning, achieving strategic account objectives set forth by management, and ensuring that high standards of customer service are met.   

Responsibilities :

  • Establish account presence, including relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts
  • Become recognized as a problem solver through solution selling
  • Submit quotations, proposals, sales presentations, and close orders
  • Identify and validate client needs on an ongoing basis
  • Lead strategic account planning process
  • Attend various events, including seminars, trade shows in order to expand client awareness through networking activities
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting on all aspects of activity

Requisite Skills:

  • Proven account management abilities – relationship building, opportunity identification, benefit identification, overcoming objections and closing in Fortune 500 organizations
  • Product application – understand feature / benefit of services and those of competitive offerings
  • Presentation – ability to make presentations to groups regarding services
  • Follow up and problem resolution – ability to multitask and set priorities to ensure clients are properly supported and commitments are fulfilled
  • Reporting – accurate and timely reporting to management both verbally and in writing
  • Sales competencies in Customer Centric and Solution Selling.


  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in the translation, life sciences or pharmaceuticals industries
  • Minimum eight years account management experience
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
